What is happening?
Transforming Futures Trust is merging with Reach South Academy Trust. This means both Trusts will come together to form a single, larger organisation that oversees our schools.
Why are the Trusts merging?
The merger will allow us to:

When will the merger take place?
The merger is expected to take place on 1st April 2026.
Will this affect my child’s school day-to-day?
No. There will be no immediate changes to:

The curriculum your child follows

Uniforms or school routines
Pupils, and parents and carers will notice very little changes to their day to day routine as a result of the Trusts merging.
Will my child’s school change its name?
At this stage, schools will continue to use their existing names. Any future changes would only happen after careful consideration and consultation with families and stakeholders.
How will this benefit pupils?
Pupils will benefit through:

Will school governance change?
Schools will continue to have local governing bodies to ensure strong local oversight. Governance arrangements will be reviewed to reflect the merged Trust structure, while maintaining local voice and accountability.
What will the new Trust mean for safeguarding and SEND support?
Safeguarding arrangements will remain robust and consistent. The merger allows the Trust to:

Will the school’s ethos or values change?
No. Each school will retain its own identity, ethos, and values. The merger brings together two Trusts with closely aligned values and a shared commitment to inclusive, high-quality education.
Will there be changes to SEND provision and support?
No existing SEND provision will be reduced. The merger aims to strengthen SEND support by sharing expertise and improving access to specialist knowledge across a larger Trust.
