Plymouth Pupils Celebrate SATs Success

Year 6 pupils across five Reach South Academy Trust primary schools in Plymouth are celebrating after achieving strong SATs results this summer.

Pupils at Goosewell Primary Academy, High Street Primary Academy, Marlborough Primary Academy, Pilgrim Primary School and Stuart Road Primary School all achieved results above the national average in the combined measure for reading, writing and maths.

High Street Primary Academy recorded the highest combined score, with 80% of pupils achieving the expected standard or above in all three subjects, while Stuart Road Primary School achieved 76.7%. High Street also saw a particularly strong year-on-year improvement, with its combined result up from 63% last year. Goosewell Primary Academy, Marlborough Primary Academy and Pilgrim Primary School all recorded a combined score of 66.7%, above the national average of 63%. 

The schools also recorded a number of standout individual subject results. High Street Primary Academy scored 90% in reading and 86.7% in maths, while Stuart Road Primary School achieved 93.3% in maths. Marlborough Primary Academy recorded 83.3% in both reading and maths.

The results reflect the hard work and determination of pupils, supported by staff and families, as they prepare for the next stage of their education.
